Men's Ministry Prayer Breakfast - Summary and Pics

On Saturday, June 28, the Men's Ministry held it's 2008 Prayer Breakfast at St. John. It was a beautiful morning and it was great to see so many brothers take the time to come together and learn more about prayer. The theme was "From Good to Great, Through Prayer".

After devotions, we were served a delicious meal with eggs, sausage, grits, hot biscuits and more. The Kitchen Staff did a wonderful job and their work was definitely appreciated.

After breakfast, we moved to the sanctuary where Bro. Ronald Chase led the discussion. Each of the brothers gave an illustration and description of a different type of prayer.

Bro. Anthony Smith talked about Thanksgiving Prayer.

Rev. Chester Kirkendoll discussed Confession

Bro. Al K. Chadwick gave terrific examples of Adoration Prayer

Bro. Stanley Jones took us to school about Petition (Supplication)

Finally, Rev. Michael Green tied everything together in his talk about Intercessory Prayer

Pastor Bonner summarized the entire discussion and led us out on a high note. Everyone was so pleased at how well the discussions went that Pastor indicated that he would like the Men to repeat the presentations during an upcoming 11 am service. So expect to see it soon! Everyone was blesed and Spirit was moving throughout the building.
