HBC/SOS Scholarship Competition Update

The new date for the St. John Local Competition is Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 9:00 in the Sanctuary.  Please encourage our young people to support the candidates by being present at this most worthwhile competition.  Moreover, the District Competition is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00 pm at  Israel Metopolitan CME Church, 557 Randolph Street, N.W., Washington , D.C.

Scholarship Competition Postponed

The Helena B. Cobb and the Save Our Sons Scholarship competition scheduled for Saturday, February 6 has been postponed and will take place on Saturday, February 13 at 12noon until further notice. The Recital will probably be held after relief from this area's inclement weather cycle.

New Closing Notification System

We recently registered with Washington DC ABC 7 and NewsChannel 8 to post closing information. We intend to utilize this service this weekend if there will be closures for St. John. This will be our first opportunity using this system, prayerfully everything works out.
