On Saturday March 22, the St. John CME Church Ministry to Men conducted their first Labyrinth Walk at Georgetown Waterfront Park. A Labyrinth Walk, also known as “the walking prayer”, is a unique form of worship that has an ancient history.  Recently, churches and religions organizations have been turning to it as a tool in reviving contemplative or meditative prayer.

One of the best features of the Walk is that the experience is totally customized to the individual and his or her needs.  It can be used a method to listen to God’s Word, for Confession, Repentance and Forgiveness, Getting rid of Worries and Burdens, Discovering your calling or as a Walk of Discipleship. Every man got to experience the Walk in his own way.

All of the men enjoyed the adventure and discovery and look forward to attending the next monthly event.
