Reverend John A. Dillard III was born in Rochester, NY. At early age, his family moved back to Buffalo, NY where he attended the public schools system of Buffalo. He attended Hutchinson-Central Technical High School, where he majored in Industrial Chemistry.
Reverend Dillard grew up in the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) church, attending Calvary CME Church in Buffalo, NY. At age 15, he accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was licensed to preach in 1975, and began serving as a part of the ministerial staff of Calvary, under the pastorate of the late Reverend John D. Hadley.
Throughout his long and distinguish ministry, he has served in many roles on the local and connectional level, including his most recent position as Presiding Elder of the Philadelphia District. We are truly excited to welcome him and his family to St. John and look forward to learning more about his vision and his plans for bringing disciples to Christ.
