"It does not yet appear what we shall become."

Rev. Wardell Bonner, Pastor

Rev. Dr. H. Patricia Jones, Presiding Elder

Rev. Thomas L. Hoyt, Jr., Presiding Prelate

God loves you: "God loves the world so much that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life, and that they may have it to the fullest." - (John 10:10) If God loves the whole world, why are most people not experiencing the full and meaningful life He offers? Why is there so much violence, hopelessness, and emptiness in our world?

Everyone has done wrong: " For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."- (Romans 2:23) Our sin separates us from God: " For the wages of sin is death."- (Romans 6:23) Sin costs and the ultimate cost is death and an eternity apart from God. But God loves us and has provided a way for us to experience forgiveness of sin, abundant life on earth, and everlasting life in heaven.

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY OF SALVATION
Jesus is God who became man: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God... and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." - (John 1:1,14) Jesus died on the cross of us: "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, to bring us to God." (I Peter 3:18) Jesus rose from the dead for you: "He was delivered for our offenses, and raised for our justification." - (Romans 4:25)

WE MUST RESPOND IN FAITH TO JESUS
It is not enough just to know the facts about Jesus. We must turn from our ways and turn to Him. we must receive Him to be saved. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God." (John 1:12). A personal relationship with God begins by praying to receive Christ: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be svaed." (Romans 10:13) You can use the prayer below right now as a guide.

A PRAYER TO RECEIVE CHRIST
Lord, Thank You for loving me and coming to earth to show us the way. I believe You died to pay for my sinds and You were raised from the dead to give me eternal life. I want to turn from my sin and place my faith in You right now. Please come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. Show me how to live and help me to follow you always. In Your name I pray, Amen.

HOW TO GROW AS A CHRISTIAN

  1. Read the Bible every day. Begin in the Gospel of John. Learn as much as you can about Jesus.
  2. Pray daily. Prayer is talking to God. You can pray any time, even when you sin or fail in life.
  3. Attend a good church where Christ is honored, the Bible is taught and everyone is welcomed.
  4. Tell someone who would be happy to hear about your commitment to Christ.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Please write or call us and remember, "Always Celebrate Jesus!!"
