From the Heart of the Pastor...

"Without a vision the people perish...."

On behalf of myself, the First Lady, officers and members of the Saint John Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, we greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We are truly excited about the mission and work that is before us and being done on this mighty hill in Anacostia, Southeast Washington, DC.

The Saint John Christian Methodist Episcopal Church is committed to teaching and making disciples for Christ and spreading the good news through Evangelism, Bible Study, Outreach Programs, Sunday School and Worship services.

According to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus stated to his disciples to:

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

Therefore, as we begin this new quadrennial, renewing and catching on spiritual fire, we look forward to reaching out to our community through teaching and preaching the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
